I may have some information for you. E.A. Hackett is my great-great grandfather. He and Jane Barrows Hackett were married, in Wisconsin (I think Millsville in Grant County) on April 21, 1861. He served in the Civil War and relocated to South Dakota in 1872. I have a lot of information about the Hackett family, from that time, but am trying to backtrack to E.A. Hackett's family time in Illinois and then to western New York where he was born on February 25, 1842.

Sometimes Jane comes out of records as Burrows rather than Barrows. I am very curious about the Barrows family since one of E.A.'s granddaughters married a William Barrows. They lived and died in Washington state.
