Hi, I realized that my last query was a bit bare of facts so I'll try
again.

I have been hitting a brick wall for at least 10 - 15 years on my
Grandfather Hackett's family. His father was James L. Hackett.
I recently found a reference to James L. Hackett in a will written by
Louisa Hackett who died in 5/31/1887 in Norwich, NY. James L
was listed as a son who resided in Greene. My Grandfather,
George M.Hackett was born in Greene in 1887!! What a day!!
This is the first solid lead I have ever had on his father!
The others mentioned in the will were: daughter,Mary J. Hackett
Fosgate of Norwich, son, George N. of No. Colesville, NY, son,
Nelson? no town given (the ? refers to the interpretation of the
name), and daughter, Frances A. Hackett of Kettlesville, NY.

So Louisa Hackett is this lady's married name. I have no idea what
her maiden name was or who her husband was either.

Does anyone here match someone your family??
