>Hello, I'm not related to any Hackett
families,but I live in Chattanooga,Tenn.
and work in Catoosa county,I recently
done a look up for a family in the old
Citizen's cemetary there in Ringgold,the county seat,and I came across a
family
plot of Hackett's,these graves date way back, and I was wondering if any
of you
were searching for ancestors there,if
so,I would be glad to get names and
dates for you.It's a big cemetary,but a lot
of the headstones are missing,however,
there are quite a few Hackett tombstones.
The cemetary is in Ringgold,Ga. at the
Tenn.line.
Karen.<

Karen I do not have any relatives in this area; but since I live
in Georgia, I have followed the Hacketts here with interest.
This cemetery is in Catoosa Co., GA, is this right?
Let me check here in Atlanta to see if the Citizen's Cemetery
tombstones have been transcribed already. If the work has been done,
we don't want you having to do it all over again.
I have done some research on Hacketts who migrated from
the Carolinas over into Georgia early in the 19th century. I think they
may
have come to the SE USA from Ireland before the Revolutionary War.
Let me know if you get this message, and I will check for the
transcription tomorrow.

Elizabeth
