Thanks so much for writing Jerry. Actually I think its the John that married
Elizabeth BIGGS. According to the census' Delila was born about 1813 and
Jane about 1810.
Delilah married 11May1833 in Giles to John HUGHES and Jane married 16 Jan
1833 to John KILPATRICK (but I have seen the name spelled different), both
saying their father was John Hackett.
Notes I have picked up: [but not sure its the right one]
John Hackett of Giles Co. was in the Rev. War and said his birth was about
1760.
The 1810 Giles census shows John Hackett over 45 yrs.
A John Hackett died by 22 Nov 1843 in Botetourt leaving 2 orphaned children.
Any ideas or tips would be greatly appreciated. Are you a Hackett researcher?
