Hi folks,
I am reposting what I know of my Hackett line. It is not much
and I would love to know more, if anyone can help.

James L. Hackett - (not listed in 1880,1900 census for Greene,NY)
born unknown date unknown place - Chenango Co., NY
married: Anna White per LDS in 1879 but is listed in 1880
census as single living with parents.
born 9/25/1859 Greene,NY daughter of
Wm. Perry White and Julia Bartlett of Greene, NY

James and Anna had three sons:
2 - Unknown +
George Merton Hackett
2/12/1887 - 2/8/1954 Greene NY
His parents died when he was 6 - in an accident
or during an epidemic. He was raised by his
grandparents-Julie & Wm. Perry White. His brothers
were raised by other relatives in the area.
He is listed in the 1900 census as living with
his grandparents and being their "G-son".

George married Lillian C. Edgerton of Greene NY
They had one Child:
Clara Martha Hackett

Any ideas on who James L. Hackett was or where he came from??

Does anyone have anything on Merton A. Hackett of Coventry,
NY?? In the 3/30/1911 Chenango American Newspaper it was
reported that he married Lillian M. Moore of Greene.
She is buried in Sylvan Lawn in Greene, but what happened to him?

I think he was my Grandfather's brother.
