I am looking for information on Laurence Hackett, my great grandfather. He married Ada Pearsall in Chicago, IL some time around 1876 and had the following children: Mabel, James Arthur (my grandfather), Mildred, Florence, Frank, Margaret Celestine and George. The 1900 census gives his birthdate as June 1850, Missouri and his parents were born in Ireland. My grandfather's death certificate states that Laurence was born in St. Louis.

I have hit a brick wall trying to find any information concerning him before he married Ada Pearsall. If anyone has any information that could remotely help me, I certainly would appreciate it.
