When I first read your message I didn't think there could be a connection
since my Hackett family comes from Maryland and seems to have gotten there
before the people you are looking for in Maine.

But I was surprised to note on the Darby/Doremus query I did that you also
have a Darby in your line.

Luke Hackett and Nancy Darby had a son Tillman in Maryland about 1795.
Tillman is my g-g-grandfather.

Do you have any more information about Darby's that might fit? Is Nancy
Darby on your list?
