Did you check just head of households or look on the cards into every
Hackett family? I was thinking he might have been living with a Hackett
son or some other Hackett family member?

But, as you say, he just may not have been in NE, USA, at that time.

You do not have any Irish Hacketts in your family, do you? I have a
strong Clark/Hackett connection but know that Clark is too common a
name to do much surname research with most of the time. Thanks again.
