Clay, based on the information you offered, I do have a record of the family,
but it does not show your father.

Here is what I have:
Michael Halkett (b: abt 1842 in Ireland), on 4 Feb 1870 at Dundee, Angus,
Scotland, he married Mary Murphy (b: abt 1850 in Dundee, Forfar, Scotland).

My records show only five children and is probably not complete. They were:
Bridget Halkett (b: 13 Dec 1870), Mary Halkett (b: 3 Oct 1872), John Halkett
(b: 5 Dec 1874), Catherine Halkett (b: abt 1878) and Margaret Halkett (b:
abt 1880).

Per the 1881 British Isles, Scotland Census:
