Elizabeth, I don't have an obituary or naturalization papers for William
Hackett. I will see what I can find re: an obituary. The naturalization
papers or the log from a ship manifest when he immigrated are tough without
further leads.
I think that Williams was born in Burbage, Leicestershire on March 12, 1815
according to his grave marker in Forreston, IL. He died March 16, 1864 in
Forreston, Ogle County, IL. His wife Clara was born in Somerset Co. Penn. on
June 26, 1823 and died Feb. 6, 1899. Although The History of Ogle County
lists Clara's birthdate as 1826. The History of Ogle County further
indicates that Claretta and William were married in 1853 (I have their
marriage certificate which has little or no information). According to The
History he located in Jefferson Co. OH in 1844 and in Ogle County in 1854
where he died. Their children include:
Thomas Rex
Mary Jane
George B.
Lemuel Issiah
Fredrick Ralph
Ada Hannah
Hannah Addie
