I have a HACKETT in my lineage that originated in Derby, Derbyshire, ENG.
Jane Hackett married William WRIGHT and migrated to the US, settling in
Conklingville, NY (waaaaayy upstate for most people), appearing in the
1850 Census.

Your post caught my eye as I, too, am on the hunt for my HACKETT roots,
even back to England. Family legend has it that she was a blueblood, related
to Queen Victoria. Still have yet to find the actual connection.
