I am new to the Hackett mailing list, and this is my first query.

I am seeking information on the parents of my great-grandmother, Rachel Emma
Hackett, who was born 19 July 1850 in Pennsylvania. She married John Quincy
Adams in Pittsburgh on 8 May 1867 (Rev. W. S. Grey officiated). The couple
lived briefly in Pittsburgh and then in Columbus, Ohio. They moved to
Lincoln, ME (John’s home town) by 1872, and she died there 3 Oct 1928.

I know literally nothing about Rachel Emma Hackett’s parents, except that
both were born in New York and her mother’s maiden name may have been Stutz.

I regret that I can’t offer any information on Hacketts (my list begins and
ends with Rachel Emma), but anyone who has information on Rachel Emma’s
parents may want to know more about her descendants or her husband’s
ancestry. I can provide that.
