Dean, I am not related to your Hacketts; I am just responding to your post
with
an analysis of the births/deaths/marriages you provided. It was
customary to
purchase a new Bible when two people were married. They wrote their own
birth dates in and their marriage date. Then when the wife died, as in
your
case, her death was written under deaths. The husband's next marriage is
listed under marriages. As each child was born, it appears under births.

That is why I am suggesting that Helen was the child of Elizabeth and
Kimball. She was born just before Elizabeth's death, right?

Vital records are never complete. Not finding a person does not mean
the event did not take place.

Yes, as long as they are born before K&S's deaths.

I don't know anything about these people--am just giving you the benefit of
my experience reading Bible records for 20 years.

as an Irish Hackett when responding to the Hackett listserve. Good luck
with your research.
