Subject: [HACKETT-L] William Hackett - Ohio 1850's

I am looking for leads related to William Hackett who I have found in
county histories as immigrating from Burbage, central England, and settling
in Jefferson county, Ohio. He married Claretta Marker in 1852 in
Jefferson/Stuebenville, Ohio and moved to Forresont, IL.
Through family we have heard of a tale that someone may be familiar with.
We have heard that he is a descendant of the Md. Hacketts. That he and his
brother moved west when one of them got into trouble by hitting someone with
the yoke from a horse team. Does this ring any bells with anyone?
