Try Mary and Howard, although they got your message also, I'm just
repeating here, because both have done a lot of work on the Oxford, NY
Hacketts. Daniel, popular given name in this line from the Josiah
Hackett/Edward Hackett (or sometimes seen as Hacket) of Freetown, MA;
Josiah first of Lyme, CT; both Rev. War Veterans enlisted from MA & RI
and both had Pensions. Josiah m. Mary Booth and Edward m. Phebe Ashley in
Freetown, MA, 1777 & 1775 respectively, and both ended up in Chenango
County, NY with quite a few children and grandchildren each. They were of
a "Ripe old age" upon their deaths. Anyway, I suspect strongly that this
is where your Daniel descends from. Good hunting,
