Hello,
My name is Debra and I am a Hackett from home. I have been trying
to find out where in New York my GGGreatfather Nathan Atrides Hackett,
since it seems all Hacketts at some point came from that area! I do
know he left his wife Sarah (Washburn), two sons and five daughters
behind in Michigan to find gold in California. According to Sarah's
obituary (10/13/02) Nathan died in California in the mid to late 1800's,
but that's another story in itself. I can't locate where in New York
this string of Hacketts started from before coming to Burr Oak, MI in
1836. If you can shed some light, it would be greatly appreciated.
