Dear Laura,
Hi, I am new to this list, but was hoping someone could help with my Hackett
problem. My father-in-law knows very little about his family, especially his
maternal line. His mother was Gladys Hackett, and her father was Everett. My
father-in-law remembers that his maternal grandfather spoke with an Irish
accent, but he doesn't know where in Ireland the old man came from. They were
Catholics who settled in east-central Wisconsin. Unfortunately, I can't go to
Wisconsin and dig around in church records. Any help or pointers you give me
would be appreciated!
