Subject: [HACKETT-L] Hackett - Sub Clans

Hi all,
I like the idea of trying to group the Hacketts by sub clans, or
where they came from. My Hacketts are Irish Catholic, but there were
Hacketts from England, as well. I have a particular problem, as my
Catholic Hacketts were most probably from Northern Ireland. There
seems to be alot of resources for the Ulster Scots, but not as much
for the Catholic families.

Still looking for info, naturalization papers ect., on Joseph Owen
Hackett, born in Ireland about 1840, and came to Lorain in 1860's.
Also, for other Hacketts in the area, I have found some birth records
for 1864-5, in Clogher, Tyrone, for Hacketts marrying McKennas (
Joseph Owen's wife was Mary McKenna). If you have these interests,
email me privately, as I may have a birth for you.

Laura
