My Hackett line begins with my great-grandmother, Mary Hackett of
Borrisoleigh, Co. Tipperary and later Boston, MA. What is unusual, though
is an entry in my grandfather's journal, noting that he took his mother to a
wake on River St, in West Newton, MA. A look at the census revealed a
Hackett family living at the address (also of Tipperary origins). I still
haven't "made the connection" from my great-grandmother to this family, but
I'm still working on it. Does anyone have any suggestions?
