Hello!
I'm new to this so please excuse any errors. I'm looking for a connection
in Indiana to my Hackett family. WILLIAM HACKETT,b. MD.abt. 1812 married a
SARAH SMITH, b. KY. abt.1814. I'm not sure where they were married, but census
records show that most of their children were born in IN. I found a marriage
record of a William Hackett married to a Sarah Smith in Washington Co.,IN on
7-4-1833, which fits the time frame. I have no way of being sure that this is
my William and Sarah. Until I get evidence of where they lived in IN., I can
go no further back. Here is a listing of the children of William and Sarah:
Josephine 1839, James B. 1840, William F. 1844, Minerva E.1846, John R. 1848,
George W. 1850 (all born in IN.) Sarah E. 1852, was my 3rd g-grandmother, born
in KY. as were the rest of the children. Evidently they moved from IN. to KY.
between 1850 and 1852. I don't know if this is too much information or not
enough, but I would appreciate any help anyone is willing to give! Thank you,
