Dear Ramona,
Is there any more of an explaination of the following?
"Historical Register and Dictionary of the United States Army
H.
page 485
Hackett, George. Pa. Pa. M storekeeper Mar 1814; honorable discharged 1
June 1821."
I have an ancestor of George Hackett who served as a scout in the War of
1812. At that time he was from PA, but by 1821 he was in Richland Co.,
Ohio. Wonder if this could be our George? Do you know what the two Pa.s
stand for? How about M storekeeper?
Thanks,
Nola Donley
