I am trying to find information about William Hackett who I believe was
born in Burbage in 1816. This information is from his grave marker in
Forreston, Illinois. He emigrated to the US but I am not sure when or what
port.
Someone helped me find a William Hackett in the Burbage 1851 and 1841
census. This William was 13 in 1841 and 23 in 1851. So he would have been
born in 1828. But I do not know if he was still there in the next census
which would help me eliminate him from my search. I think my William was in
the US by 1853 when he married Claretta Marker.
I am new to list serves and would appreciate help and advice about this
search.
