There was someone looking for names of families that this Josiah and
Abigail ( nee Conant) Hackett line married into. From "History of
Westmoreland" (Great Meadow), NH 1741 -1970 And Genealogical Data, by the
Westmoreland History Committee, Westmoreland, NH 1976: Page 438 will be
found this Josiah Hackett family.

{ For those who may not know, this is a different Josiah Hackett, than
that Josiah Hacket in Oxford, NY who m. Mary Booth in Freetown, MA.
However, both these Josiahs served excellently and bravely in the Rev.
War, and it is believed both go back to the Progenitor, Jabez(1) Hackett
of Taunton, MA }.

Joaiah and Abigail Hackett's children married into the families of Scott
(two) and Gates. None listed for the others except *Benjamin
Hackett...see next. Betsey Hackett, dau. of Josiah and Abigail Hackit
(Hackett) died in Westmoreland, NH 31 July 1807 unmarried. I have her
certified death certificate, which isn't of my Hackett family line, but I
got the certificate while looking for any of the three Betsey Hacketts I
was seeking in Brookfield, NH. The first person who emails or snail mails
me who is a descendant of this Josiah and Abigail Hackett family and
wants the certificate may have it. Betsey was b. 21 Mar 1781. So she was
in her 26th year. There is a Scott Genealogy where you can find that
line: Mercy Hackett m. Rufus Scott 15 May 1799, and Abigail Hackett m.
Chester Scott 7 Sep 1802.

*Benjamin Hackett, son of Josiah and Abigail Hackett, b. 17 June 1789, m.
a GREEN. Living early near Cameron Paine's home ("1970"...whatever that
date means?). Children: Mary Ann Hackett m. Noah Caswell of Winchendon;
Amy Hackett m. 3 July 1847 Abiather Dean, Jr.; Mercy Hackett, b. 1819 m.
Ephraim Amidon, Jr. (there is a genealogy on this family); Caroline
Hackett; Electa Hackett; Sophia Hackett; Harriet Hackett; Marie Hackett;
Ebenezer Hackett, d. 28 Sep 1889 ae 69, unm.; Joseph Hackett, m. Mary
Ann, dau. of Nathaniel and Sally (nee Lowell) Gates, (had one son James
Hackett); Josiah Hackett; and the last of the twelve children Charles
Hackett.
