Looking for the parents of John HACKET, who married Janet STEEL in the
parish of Marnoch, Banffshire, Scotland on 18 Dec 1795 and had the
following children in Marnoch: Elizabeth c 30 May 1796; Alexander c 14
Sep 1800; William c 12 May 1805; Janet c 25 Jul 1807; John c 28 Mar
1810; Mary Duff c 20 Feb 1813; and Isobel Stronach c 22 May 1815.

John may have been the brother of George Hacket who married Barbara
Alexander in 1799; Jean Hacket who married John Duffus in 1796; and
Ketrin Hacket who married George Hacket in 1785. All these marriages
were in Marnoch.

Possibly John Hacket's parents were George HACKET and Isobel WATSON, who
married at Auchterless and Inverkeithy in 1752. They had at least four
children in Marnoch: Alexander c 22 Feb 1756; Katharin c 2 Apr 1758;
Isobel c 22 Mar 1760; and Ann c 10 Mar 1763.
