Hi,
I just recieved a copy of a final Naturalization Record on Joseph
Hackett 1875, Summit County Oh.
I had requested this because I thought he might be my ancestor,
however, when I recieved this record it said he was a native of
England. On all census records, he says he is a native of Ireland,
and his parents were born in Ireland. My question is, would a person
from Ireland at this time period be considered a native of England
and under queen Victoria, since Ireland was part of England. I did
ask for all the papers and did not recieve them. I will write back to
recieve the declaration of intent.
