Hello,
I am searching for the Hackets. My ancestor Mary Hacket was born in
New Jersey, (this would be circa 1780), married Daniel Shinn, and moved
to Cincinnati OH, then to Pike County, IL (this would be circa 1820)..
Her forebears were Daniel and Isaac Hacket who supposedly were famous
Indian fighters. I was wondering if anyone out there has any info on
the Hackets in Egg Harbor, NJ. Were they Quakers? Does anyone's line
happen to match this? I would greatly appreciate any information or
tips or suggestions.
