I'm new to this list and would like to post my "missing" HACKETT ancestor.
I'm looking for the ancestors of DOROTHY HACKETT (b. 2/10/1783)(place
unknown, but probably in New England somewhere)
She married Samuel Jacobs (b. 8/31.1785)(also place unknown, but probably
also in New England.)
They had the following children:
1) Joseph Jacobs DOB - 8/5/1805 - married, had 8 children
2) Samuel P. Jacobs DOB - 4/26/1807 - no information
3) Adaline Jacobs DOB - 2/5/1809 - married (GRIGGS) had 4 children
4) Barthena Jacobs DOB - 11/9/1811 - died @ 2 y.o.
5) Septimus Jacobs DOB - 1/10/1814 - married, had 6 children
6) John S. D. Jacobs DOB - 12/10/1816 - married, had 12 children
7) Martha F. D. Jacobs DOB - 11/19/1818 - married (WOOD), had 6 children
8) Allen Jacobs DOB - 1/7/1820 - died @ 5 y.o.
9) Anna Jacobs DOB - 6/16/1824 - no information
10) Peter Jacobs DOB - 3/28/1827 - died @ 1 m.o.
Martha Jacobs married Walter Wood - they were my gg-grandparents.
Part of what is making the search difficult is that I have no definite
information about where this family resided, though I believe they were in
New England somewhere.
I would appreciate it if anyone who has a number of HACKETTs in their
files, would look and see if they might have a connection to my "missing"
DOROTHY HACKETT.
