Message Board Post:

hi again,
Is there more than one library in Cambridge? I went to the one on Broadway. Apparently, that is a temp location. Most of their ref. material is in storage. What little material they had was not helpful to me.
My cousin and I was thinking...he had no ins., no money, drank his pension money, get the idea?, is it possible that the undertaker reported him as a john doe in order to get money for a poppers grave rather than report to SS for $255?
Any idea about that process? Who would have notified Town records of the death? Hospital? Ambulance? Undertaker? Not sure if he died at home and pronounced dead there then taken to the undertaker or if he was brought to a hospital and pronounced doa. If he was like his ancestors they all just dropped dead...including my father (Pete's brother). Thanks for your help...I'm really trying to think out side the box here in order to locate his death record.
