I was down at Mass Vital Records today and looked up his death record.
New Bedford 1949 vol 68 p 80
Asher Morgan. Residence and place of death 2 Beetle Ct, New Bedford. Date of death Jan 24, 1949. Cause of death hemorrhage into cerebrum (found dead in bed). Buried Pine Grove Cemetery, New Bedford. Male, white, widowed. Wife Bertha Clark. Age 98 yrs. Occupation laborer. Born Montreal, Canada. Father cannot be learned, born cannot be learned. Mother cannot be learned, born cannot be learned.
The Guide to Massachusetts Cemeteries lists Pine Grove Cemetery on Ashley Blvd, so it sounds like your information is correct.
