What I gather is that the surname of Jane hasn't been proven. Nowwww
I was working on these RIPLEYs a good 8 years ago and as this John
isn't a direct line of mine I haven't looked at anything since on
him. I have in my db from 8 yrs. ago that John RIPLEY (1656-1720)
married Jane CHAMBERLAIN/WHITMARSH? (1664 - ) on 13 Oct 1686 per
Torrey, p. 626. Lincoln's History of Hingham, III, p. 132. only says
Jane ........... and NEHGR 121, "The Hobart Journal", doesn't give
the bride's name. No doubt you have probably checked these same sources.

As Torrey was the most recent of the above sources, I am using
CHAMBERLAN/WHITMARSH? as her surname. At the moment I am vacationing
in FL which means I haven't any of my sources with me, only my
genealogy db on my laptop. These folks may be listed in the latest
volumes of The Great Migration, Immigrants to New England 1634-1635
by Anderson but doubt it for don't believe the RIPLEYs immigrated until 1638.

My 2 RIPLEY lines are through John's brother Joshua (1658-1739) who
md. Hannah BRADFORD and their great aunt Frances RIPLEY (christened
1584 Wramplingham , co Norfolk, England -1630 Wramplingham, co
Norfolk, England ) who was the 1st wife of John BEAL (1589
Wramplingham , co Norfolk, England -1688 Hingham, Plymouth Co., MA).
