My family the Denham/Dunham lived in MA-Rochester, Mattapoisett area and I
keep finding lots of records in New Bedford, MA. If I can't find it in
Rochester or Mattapoisett I search New Bedford. Did you know that the New
Bedford Library has information on-line about the crew members of whaling
ships departing for there?

Subject: [GM-L] MARY ANDREWS/JOSEPH BENNETT MENDELL/POLLY BENNETT/BARNABAS
MENDALL

Hi Jane,
Thank for all the hard work putting so much information on the internet,
Information that help's so many people who live far away.

I'm wondering if you would have run across any information on a MARY ANDREWS
born 04 Oct. 1814, MA. or PA? Married 13 Nov 1831 in MA. PA. IN.?, Mary was
the 2nd wife of JOSEPH BENNETT MENDELL, We have no information on Mary
before her marriage to Joseph Mendell.
I do have Mary's death inf. and Children for anyone who might want that
information.

Joseph Mendell was born in Rochester, MA. but grew up in New Bedford (said
Pennsylvania, But I can't help but believe it was Massassachusetts instead.
New Bedford, PA. was a long way to travel from Rochester MA. by horse or
wagon. I need to do some research further for me to feel comfortable with
either PA. or MA. ) He Joseph grew up after being abandon by his father
(Barnabas Mendall) after his mother Polly Bennett Mendall disappeared in
1803 from the time he was abt. 4 years old, living with the Solomon Sparks
family.

I haven't been able to find Any information on Joseph's mother POLLY BENNETT
except her marriage intent to Barnabas Mendall and the notice in the New
Bedford Newspaper.

Appreciate any help or suggestions and you time.

Thanks,
Iris
