Hi Sister Therese,

I've read "The Lowell Sun" for 30+ years, but know that they only started
creating a web site a few years ago, and are very slow creating an on-line
Archives. I just checked the web site, and it looks like you can only go
back to 1998 with an on-line search.

I'd like to suggest that you write to the Editor of "The Sun" and ask how to
retrieve old newspaper headlines, or write a "Letter to the Editor" asking
for help.

Another suggestion is to write a letter to the Reference Department of the
Pollard Library in Lowell and ask for a look-up.

Another suggestion is to subscribe to the Middlesex County List as there are
one or two people living in Lowell who are willing to take on small research
jobs. (They might not belong to the MA List.)

Also, out of curiousity, do you know when Roy BOONE first arrived in Lowell?
Was he born here, or did his family come to Lowell from another area?

Betty (near Lowell, MA)
