Hi,
I am new to the list.
I am searching for the family of my great great grandfather Alonzo Bates
born 1815 in Ma.
We had a dna test done and hadan exact match with another 2 people who have
a paper trail back to Edward Bate(s) of Weymouth Ma.
Alonzo is a dead end.
I have evidence of him in Canada about 1386, his first child was born there.
from there he went to Wisconsin.
His census and death records state he and his parents were born in Ma.
There is my gap. From about 1815 to 1838.
So, I am looking for any family with the name of Bate or Bates that would
have possibly moved to Canada some time after 1815, or any that had
children around that date.
I am not even sure his first name was Alonzo as they used the middle name .
There is some indication it may have been Luke.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Patti
