The Bergen County (N.J.) Coaches Association has named Ryan Guterl of
Lyndhurst High School as one of its first-team All-County boys' soccer
selections for 1999.

RYAN GUTERL, Defender, Lyndhurst - Senior

A four-year starter who coach Cap Arata calls, "One of the best players I've
ever had." The sweeper, who moved up from the third team [All-County in
1998], held together an inexperienced defense and at times led the attack,
assisting on seven goals. "He's so skillful," says the coach, "he could play
any position including goalie." What he did best was clear out opponents
passes and shots in the box. He might wind up playing for Montclair State.
