Court Record, Page 65 5 November, 1745: This Court grants Adms. on the estate of Henry Goslee, late of Glastonbury decd., to Elizabeth Goslee, widow of sd. decd., and William House, of Glastonbury, who gave bond with Mathias Treat of Hartford for (LB.) 300 money. Exhibit of an inventory, which was ordered on file.
Page 3 (Vol. XV) 7 January, 1745: This Court appoint and impower Elizabeth Goslee, widow and relict of Henry Goslee, to be guardian to the children of the sd. Henry Goslee, viz., to John age 12 years, Sarah 9 years, Thomas 7, Timothy 4, and James about x5 months. Recog., (LB.) 5oo.
Page 11 13 May, 1746: An account of Adms. was now exhibited in Court by William House and Alpheus Gustin (in right of his wife Elizabeth Goslee, alias Gustin), Adms. on sd. estate. Account accepted.
Page 23 2 September, 1746: Pursuant to an act of the General Assembly, holden at Hartford on the 2nd Thursday of May, 1746, authorising William House and Alpheus Gustin, Adms., to sell so much of the real estate as may he sufficient to pay the sum of (LB.) 110-01-10 with necessary charges of sale, taking the advice of the Court of Probates in the District of Hartford thereon: This Court direct the Adms. to set up advertisements on the sign posts in Wethersfield and Glastonbury that there is to be sold so much of the east end of the 1-70 acre lott lying in sd. Glastonbury, in the Parish of Eastbury, at publick vandue, etc., etc., etc.
Page 60 - 1st March 1747 8: Report of the Adms. that they sold to John Wavels of Glastonbury 2o acres at 35 shillings per acre, bounded as followeth: East on common land, west on land of the heirs of Henry Goslee decd., south on land of the aforesd. heirs, and north on land to be sold to John Gustin, Jr. Then adjourned until the 25th day of the above sd. month, and then sold to John Gustin, Jr., 3o acres at 30 shillings per acre, bounded as follows: East on common or undivided land, west on land of the aforesd. heirs, north on land of Capt. Thomas Belding, and south on lands to be sold to the aforesd. John Wavels. Then they adjourned the sale of the rest until the 9th day of October next ensuing, and then they sold to the abovesd. John Gustin, Jr., 6 1/4 acres more (LB.) 6-08 per acre, bounded as follows: North on land of the aforesd. Belding, east on land of Gustin, west on land of the aforesd. heirs, and south on land sold to the abovesd. Wavels. All at publick va!

Page 64 - 3 May, 1748: An Account of Adms on the estate of Amos Gustin was now exhibited in Court by Alpheus Gustin, Adms.: Paid in debts and charges, (LB.) 78-01-02. Which account is allowed and ordered to be kept in file.

224PROBATE RECORDS[May, 1746]OF CONNECTICUT.
Upon the memorial of William House and Alpheus Gustin, of Glastonbury, administrators on the estate of Henry Goslee, deceased, showing to this assembly that the debts due from said estate surmount the personal estate the sum of (LB.) 110 1 shilling 10 pennies old tenour; praying for liberty to sell so much of the real estate of said deceased as may be sufficient to answer the afroesaid sum with the incident charges arising theron: Resolved by this assembly, that the memorialists have liberty, and they are hereby authorized and impowered, to make sale of so much of the real estate as aforesaid as may be sufficient to pay the sum of (LB.) 110 1s 10d. with necessary charges arising theron, taking the advice of the court of probate in the district of Hartford therin.

Shields, Bryant, Court Record, page 35 - 6 December, 1743: Jerusha Shields, a minor, 13 years of age, daughter of Bryant Shields of Glastonbury deceased, chose Ebenezer Kilbourn of sd. Glastonbury to be her guardian. Recog., (LB.) 100.
Page 112 (Vol. XV) 3 June, 1749: Daniel Shields, a minor, 16 years of age, son of Bryant Shields, chose his brother-in-law Alpheus Gustin to be his guardian. Recog., (LB.) 500.
