Harry Gustine

GRANT PARK - Visitation for Harry W. Gustine, 86, a resident of Grant Park for nine years, will be from 11 a.m. Thursday until the 1 p.m. services at Brownstreet Baptist Church in Alton. He is the father of the Rev. Ronald L. Gustine, pastor of First Regular Baptist Church of Grant Park.
Burial will be in Upper Alton Cemetery, Alton.
Memorials may be made to the Brownstreet Baptist Church in Alton.
Arrangements are being handled by Hub Funeral Chapel in Grant Park.
Mr. Gustine died Sunday (April 20, 1997) at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee.
He was born Nov. 2, 1910 in Alton, the son of William Pearl and Emily Mary Dettmer Gustine.
His wiife, Leora L. Gustine, hom he married March 11, 1932 in Alton, died in August 1982. Also deceased is a brother, Harley Gustine.
Mr. Gustine was an operating engineer in the Shell Refinery in Roxana, Ill. He had been a member of Brownstreet Baptist Church in Alton.
Surviving are four sons and daughters-in-law, The Rev. Ronald L. and Janice Gustine of Grant Park; Harry W. and Sue Gustine Jr. of Amanda, Ohio; David and Carylyn Gustine of Spring, Texas; and the Rev. Paul and Marilyn Gustine of Hampton, Mass.; nine grandchildren and 16 great- grandchildren.
