When checking under Gustin/Gustine in the card catalogue at the Illinois
State Library, we found one vertical folder containing a multi-page
manuscript of which we photocopied 32 pages. These were all presented by
Mrs. Leslie G. Jasperson, 1681 Maple Avenue, Galesburg, Illinois 61401. I
can't seem to find any date referring to when the research was done or
when the material was presented to the State Library.

GUSTINE, Samuel C. b. ca 1826 Ohio, m. 1845 Martha Anna Walker, d. ca
1896. 1850 census lists him as a farmer. An old insurance policy of his
gr son, Samual Edward Gustine, said that Samuel C was about 70 when he
died and his wife was "old" Ch: James E. and William H(enry). William
H(enry) was called "Uncle Henny" according to recollection of Nellie
Charity Orendorff Gustine. No other ch known ref # 1, 200, 135
