Since John attached this to my email and since I seem to be the only
descendant of Catherine Rape on the list, I will answer. I have never heard
of Daniel Beaver and have never used World Family Tree. I don't know where
this comes from.

I trust John's data, so what he has supplied is what I have in my database.

For a long time I refused to even look at the World Family Tree data in
ancestry.com simply because I always want to know the primary source
(documentation) for data. However, recently I have been daring to look and
have noticed a lot of information on Catharine, the daughter of Johann Peter
Reeb our immigrant ancestor. Some of the information does appear to come
from my research either first or second hand. I am curious about who
submitted the information and just how much information on other branches of
the Rape family did that person submit.

Also I am curious who submitted the data on the same Catharine Rape even
giving a birth date. But in this case the husband of Catharine Rape is given
as Daniel Beaver. Does anyone know anything about this? Do I understand that
some one has some document to show that Catharine, the daughter of Peter
Rape married Daniel Beaver? If so was this marriage her first marriage? Also
where did the date of birth come from? Is there some record to prove that a
Catharine, wife of Daniel Beaver, was the daughter of Johann Peter Reeb.

While I am at this I also have another question about Ancestry.com data. I
noticed that they show two Israel Rapes, one being son of John Rape and one
being the son of Peter Rape. Of course I don't need to hear what the primary
source would have been for both men being listed with sons named Israel. But
I am curious how the Israel, son of John Rape, got the name of Branden or
Brandon. I know very well why and who told everyone the name of Israel Rape
in Texas was Israel Brandon Rape. That goes back to the Dallas Lawyer by
name John Plath Green. But that was simply the way the name appears in very
small copy from the County Will book but is definately an error in
translating the Last Will and Testament of Peter Rape. However, the McCorkle
paper which is a Lancaster County, SC Commissioner's report listing the
heirs of Matthew McCorkle and in this instance the children of John Rape and
his first of three wifes Millie Forbes, daughter of Mary McCorkle and Hugh
Forbes. There is
no Brandon or any other middle name in the document.

If anyone knows any explanation for any of this I would be very interested
in hearing it. Am espiecially interested in Catharine Rape and Daniel
Beaver?
