Hi caggt,

I have a John Gurney born c1804 in my treee. From my knowledge his parents were Thomas Gurmin (note change of surname) and Ruth Jackson. Thomas and Ruth had 9 children in all.

I don't have any info at present oo hwether John was married or had children so I can't tell for sure if he's the one you're after.
