Hello all,
I am hoping that there is someone out there that has a line of
greenwoods somewhere near Bodmin Moor in Cornwall, Eng. My 4g grandfather
was William Greenwood b. Dec 9 1804 in North Hill Cornwall. I have checked
the early 1800's census records and the only found one William Greenwood in
the area who would be the right age. He is listed as the son of Philip
HOOPER b. abt. 1784 and Elizabeth Greenwood b. abt. 1783 who were living in
North hill at the right time. If I have the right record William had a
brother John Hooper. The thing I don't have any info on is why William kept
his mother's name and where Elizabeth came from. I know there are some big
Greenwood trees out there and if someone has an Elizabeth or a William that
would fit my details I would love to hear from you.
