A SUDDEN DEATH - MRS. MARGARET GRADY, AGED 92 YEARS, DIED YESTERDAY
Mrs. Margaret Grady, residing with her daughter, Mrs. Wm. PARKER of
West 2nd Street, died very suddenly yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock at
the advanced age of 92 years.
The deceased was a daughter of Jno. PRICE, one of the early settlers
of Greene County, and was born in this city. The most of her life has
been spent in Highland County. She was united in marriage with Jno.
GRADY, who died 27 years ago. Since that time she has made her home with
the family of Mr. Wm. PARKER, and on the removal to this city from
Highland County several years ago, she came with them, and has since
resided in the city of her birth.
In spite of her advanced age she has all along been able to get about
without assistance, and was not a charge upon her friends. Yesterday she
had been out in the yard walking around and coming into the house, sat
down in a chair remarking that she felt very badly. Her head fell to one
side and being placed on a bed, she expired almost immediately.
She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Wm. PARKER, and Mrs. John GIBNEY, SR.
Funeral from the residence of Wm. PARKER on Wednesday at 2:30.
( I have no connection with the family ) I found this obit, and I am just
posting it to the list.
