To All Doing Research - If you will & when you have time, please write
to Texas State Rep. Tracy O. King of Dist. 43: Room E2.314, Capitol
Extension, Austin, Texas 78701.

He is trying to put together information to write legslation to give a
better and clearer access to Texas Birth and Death INDEXES. Most court
houses will NOT let people look at the index. They will get a particular
birth or death
certificate. BUT how do you know what you want if you are doing research
and are tracking down people you do not know about. Please write him and
express your desire and need to OPEN ACCESS TO INDEXES. - Bert Bell
