bet you all are glad the updates are over... LOL I finished the whole pdf
file that Rita graciously sent.
I do need some help now...
Since I do not have the book, I can not check it to insure that all the
pages were infact in the PFD File. It seemed to end funny to me...
There are 812 pages of text, 399 pages of pictures, 1 Preface, 16 pages of
for a total of 1255 pages Which according to the PDF file should be 1260
I need somone with the book to do some proof reading... No not the pages...
but the page numbers, checking mostly at the end to see if something has
been left out.
Possibly I missed a picture page or two.. Again I have no way of checking
and I must depend on all of you to do the checking.
I don't want to ask just one person, because the more sets of eyes to look
the more chances of finding an error if there is one.
I do not presently have all the families entered in Dayton's book in my file
...but I plan to. I do have the Scotland Gillocks that are his ancestors
back as far as I could get parish records on.
In mine the lineages separate at Laurence Gillock's children. Each linage as
complete as I can get them will be linked from there.
There is additional work that would help make the book searchable, I need
help in extracting the names of each individual on each page. A search
engine will not spider a scaned page, but if the names listed on the page
was entered at the bottom of each page the spider would pick it up and show
that page for the search. Would you help with that?
The more I read Dayton's book the more I appricate the work that went into
