Hi everyone,

Two more sets of results came in today, and yet again, we have two more unique lines! I thought for sure we might see at least one random match with one of these lines as they're both very old lines here in the U.S., but no such luck.

The two lines that came in are...

Kit 48278 - Garvis/Jarvis Gilbert of Yorkshire, England (and Harford/Baltimore Co., MD) in bright yellow

Kit 48510 - Edward Gilbert of NC in bright green

As one of our participants mentioned to me, if we don't start seeing some matches on these lines, I'm going to run out of colors!

Both of the above lines are predicted to be in the R1b haplogroup as many of our other Gilbert lines are. This haplogroup is the most common one in Western Europe. If you'd like to learn more about haplogroups, I'd suggest reading the brief tutorial on the DNA Heritage site: http://www.dnaheritage.com/masterclass2.asp

Four more sets of results are due in over the next few weeks.

Cheers!
