My wife is a Getter. Her immediate family lived in Viroqua, Wisconsin.
The Getters in this family trace their linage back to the Revolutionary
War, c. 1770. They came here from Alcase Lorraine sp.?) or the Black
Forest area, an area between S. Germany, NE France and western
Switzerland. Does this in any way connect with the Getters you are
referring to? Appreciate hearing from you.
