Reporting in - my grt grandmother was Mary Elizabeth Getman who married Peter Dockstader. There's a lot of us out there. We have been having reunions the past few years in Upstate NY during the summer. There is also a Getman web site. You might want to look into it. My line starts with Frederick Getman born abt 1736 died abt 1792 who was son of Johann Frederick Getman who married Mary Johanna Bierman.
