Hello Everyone,

I am doing a translation job and had to search the word for Welschgickel which is a turkey. There is an interesting article listed on the internet concerning Volga German. It is called: Ueber Eigentuemlichkeiten des wolgadeutschen Wortschatzes/Concerning Characteristics of Volga German Vocabulary. It was printed in the Journal Jahrbuch fuer Internationale Germanistik on pages 137-149 and published by Peter Lang AG ISSN 0449-5233. It is a lot of fun learning Volga German vocabulary!
