The reference could be to Wolskaja, the Russian name for Kukkus. That's the only one I can think of that resembles "Woldka."

Does anyone know of a Woldka, Russia?  A Henry Richter born in Schulz, Russia, is said to have immigrated from Woldka.  Judy
