Found an interesting bit of trivia in the Portsmouth New Hampshire Herald, pg. 14. It's related to our Volga ancestors who remained in Russia.
"There are now 243,700 collective farms in Russia with 18,500,00 households, or 93 per cent of all peasants in the country.
