Hello,

My Mother, Martha Hofferber Stenson passed away 12/28/2012 at age 90. I do not have a formal obituary to post , but I would my GV family to know how much she was loved & how much she will be missed. Her parents were Jacob Hofferber b 1879 in either Frank or Bethanien, & Katherine Margaret Wiederspahn b 1879 in either Walter or Bethanien. They left Russia in 1912 for Canada, then Montan a in 1915, & finally settled in the Yakima Valley in Washington State. Momma was the last surving sibling of 10. Two of which died in Russia as infants. Momma has  3  children, Susan, Linda, & Stephen & 11 grandchildren, (2 of them preceeding her in death) & 13 great grandchildren.

BAYARD - Marie Fuss, 94, died Monday, Jan. 16, 2012 at Chimney Rock Villa in
Bayard.
Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, at Faith United
Church of Christ in Bayard with Pastor Tom Smith officiating. Interment will
be held at the Bayard Cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the church.
Memorials in Marie's honor may be made in care of the church. Online
condolences may be left at www.jolliffefuneralhome.com. Jolliffe Funeral Home
in Scottsbluff is in charge of arrangements.
Marie was born June 20, 1917 in Bayard, to Fredrick and Lydia (Wirth) Rein.
She received her education in Bayard. She married Jacob Kraus and the couple
farmed in the Torrington, Wyo. and Gering areas. After Jacob's passing in
1962, Marie married Leonard Fuss and the couple moved to Cheyenne where they
both worked at Little America. She also worked as a hostess at The Mayflower
in Cheyenne until she retired. After retirement, Marie moved to Littleton,
Colo. for 7 years. In 2007 she moved to Northfield Villa in Gering until
December of 2009 when she moved to Chimney Rock Villa in Bayard.
Marie was a member of the Emmanuel Congregational Church in Cheyenne, Wyo. and
the first United Church of Christ in Torrington, Wyo. Marie loved to take
walks, cook, dance and shop. She was an avid Broncos fan, but loved all
sports. She especially loved spending time with family and cherished the
unforgettable family get togethers and memorable holiday dinners with all of
her loved ones. She will be loved forever and missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her children, Jerry (Glenda) Kraus of Lingle, Wyo., Jurene
(Andrew) Fritz of Littleton, Colo., Larry Kraus of Coaldale, Colo., Jacqueline
Moscati of Arvada, Colo., and Diana Huber of Littleton, Colo.; 15
grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren, and
numerous nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husbands Jacob Kraus and Leonard Fuss, Jerry's twin brother Larry
J. Kraus who died at 2-years-old, two brothers, four sisters, and
granddaughters, Valerie Barthel and Stacy Moscati preceded her in death.

Helen Kehm, 89, of Scottsbluff, passed away Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012 at Regional
West Medical Center in Scottsbluff.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 20, at Jolliffe Funeral
Home in Scottsbluff with Pastor Ted Meter officiating. Interment will follow
at Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff.
A visitation will be held from 1 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19 at Jolliffe
Funeral Home in Scottsbluff.
Memorials may be made to Helen's family and will be designated at a later
time. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.jolliffefuneralhome.com.
Helen was born Sept. 11, 1922, in rural Minatare. She was the daughter of Alex
and Elizabeth (Adolph) Meter. Her family moved northwest of Bayard where Helen
received her education at Highway 21 North Eastern Scotts Bluff County. Helen
married John Kehm at Zion Evangelical Church in Bayard. Two children were born
to this union, John D. and Carol B.
Helen and John farmed near Bayard until later, when they retired and moved to
Scottsbluff. She worked in food service at Scottsbluff High School retiring in
1987.
Survivors include her children, John D. (Betty) Kehm and Carol B. Kehm all of
Scottsbluff; brothers, Henry of Port Huron, Mich., and Reinhold and Harry both
of Bayard; sisters, Esther Miller of Lincoln, Irene Michal of Omaha, and Rose
Pierce of Davenport, Iowa; two granddaughters; three great-grandsons; two
great-great grandchildren; a great great great-granddaughter and several
nieces and nephews.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John, in 1980;
brothers, Alex and Walter; and sister, Lydia Weber.
